Choices Markets in Kitsilano currently has an opening for a Receiver. We are seeking someone who enjoys working independently and has an eye for detail.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- processing all incoming product on a timely basis;
- ensuring that all orders are complete and in good condition;
- maintaining good relationships with vendors and delivery drivers;
- completing all necessary paperwork with efficiency and accuracy;
- organizing deliveries onto carts and into storage areas in an efficient manner;
- keeping workspaces, storage areas and delivery areas safe, clean and organized;
- maintaining good relationships with co-workers and customers; and
- adhering to all OHS and other policy requirements.
The ideal person for this position:
- is naturally organized in every way – thoughts, actions, and written materials;
- is highly detail oriented;
- is personable and diplomatic;
- enjoys working independently;
- is comfortable and proficient using Microsoft Office software;
- is willing and able to work in all kinds of weather;
- is productive, hardworking and efficient;
- is capable of ongoing heavy lifting (up to 70 pounds); and
- is comfortable in a physically demanding job that includes bending, crouching and reaching.
